In this role, you will be responsible for selling existing KISS and Reelshort copyrights through traditional channels while identifying new opportunities in the offline book market. Key Responsibilities
- Represent client by promoting and selling existing KISS and Reelshort copyrights.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand our presence in the offline book market.
- Identify and pursue licensing opportunities with retailers, bookstores, and other distribution channels.
- Manage domestic and international copyright agreements, including exclusive offline sublicensing, audiobooks, and foreign rights.
- Negotiate and execute sublicensing agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure proper documentation and adherence to copyright laws.
- Negotiate terms with publishers, including author advances, royalties, and rights such as film and foreign rights, leveraging client's market presence and growth.
- Provide insights on market trends, audience preferences, and emerging licensing opportunities.
- Attend industry events and stay updated on industry developments and competitive landscapes.
- Collaborate with client's internal teams to effectively market and promote licensed titles in offline channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in publishing, communications, media studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in licensing, content acquisition, or intellectual property management in publishing or entertainment.
- Strong network and relationships within the publishing and author community, with knowledge of web novel platforms.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Experience managing licensing rights and exploring international sublicensing opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with legal and contractual terms related to licensing agreements.
- Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of reader preferences.
