Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the inbound/outbound, handling, posting and distribution of goods. This supervisory-level position demands a solid foundation in warehouse operations, staff coordination, and adherence to regulatory standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will uphold operational excellence and maintain a safe, orderly environment within the warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist in managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and the distribution of goods;
· Support the implementation and maintenance of effective inventory control systems and participate in regular audits to verify accuracy and mitigate losses;
· Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate inventory tracking, timely reporting, and adherence to budgetary guidelines
· Lead the development and implementation of automation systems to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
· Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and participate in routine safety training;
· Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within warehouse operations; Continuously improve procedures and processes to optimize workflow, ensure consistency, and drive operational excellence.
· Assist in planning and managing warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and optimize workflow;
· Oversee and support the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technological tools to streamline operations effectively;
· Assist the budget management, including cost control and preparation of financial reports;
· Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff; Develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels;
· Contribute to the preparation and presentation of regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications and Experience:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or senior specialist role;
· A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred;
· Proven expertise in warehouse operations, ideally within the energy or manufacturing sectors;
· A strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software;
· Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations;
· Strong leadership and management skills;
· Forklift certification is preferred
