Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Port Washington, NY (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 5 Months
Pay Rate: $33 per hour on W2
The Demand Planner is responsible for contributing to the profit and growth of the North America Wholesale division by managing and creating forecasts for supply planning. This role involves analyzing historical data, market trends, and demand drivers to develop accurate demand plans at the customer, brand, and SKU levels. The Demand Planner will collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Service, Corporate Planning, and other cross-functional teams to ensure efficient inventory levels and maintain a high level of service to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain customer, brand, and SKU-level demand plans for production/manufacturing planning.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonal fluctuations, and demand drivers to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Provide key analysis and direction to support forecasting at customer and brand levels.
- Conduct and present key performance indicators (KPIs) analysis for product lines and accounts.
- Utilize statistical methods and demand planning software to generate reports and accurately forecast demand.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Brand, Product, Sales Operations, Global Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams to align business objectives.
- Develop reporting metrics for fill rates and forecast accuracy to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and track order fill rates, backorders, and recovery plans, providing updates to relevant teams.
- Optimize inventory locations to improve supply efficiency and order fulfillment.
- Lead forecast meetings with Sales, Brand, and Product teams to align demand signals with business expectations.
- Balance supply requests to factories with financial plans, making strategic procurement decisions.
- Understand customer performance metrics for both replenishments and NPI (New Product Introduction) business.
- Prepare and present PowerPoint reports, Excel summaries, and detailed business recaps for leadership.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with experience in demand planning tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical forecasting tools.
- Ability to analyze KPIs, market trends, and sales data for accurate forecasting.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
