What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer Designer position at Intellisource Colorado LLC?
Our team is growing and we are seeking a Civil Engineer Designer for our client in South Austin, TX. Along with the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate has the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and is team-centric with the willingness to learn from and mentor others.
In this role, you will draft civil engineering designs for roadways, water and sewage lines, drainage, and land grading specifications for commercial and residential building sites using maps and topographical surveys. You will work primarily in an office environment and sometimes travel to proposed building sites. You will report directly to project engineers.
- This role is a 3-month contract role with opportunity for extension.
- This position is M-F daytime hours (must be flexible)
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in civil engineering, specifically residential or commercial land development
- Possess appropriate math skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Layering Standards, and have a fundamental understanding of REF best practices and Document Management Systems
- Experience using Civil 3D pipe networks, surfaces, date shortcuts, profiles, and other Civil 3D objects
- Experience in Construction design and basic methods
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 platform - Microsoft Office programs such as but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Post-secondary education in Drafting Technology, or related education is encouraged
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience in (Inroads, HydroCAD, StormCAD) preferred
