Algorithm Engineer
Location: Pontiac, MI
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Required Skills:
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with either motor controls, power electronics, AC/DC drive systems or a combination
- Minimum 3 years of experience with AC electric machine operating principles and 3-phase switching power converter topologies
- Experience in developing digital control algorithms for 3-phase switching power converters and AC electric machines
- Fluency in using MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation of electric drives
- Ability to follow algorithms coded in the C programming language
Desired Skills:
- Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering
- 5 years’ experience with either motor controls, power electronics, AC/DC drive systems or a combination
- 5 years of experience with AC electric machine operating principles and 3-phase switching power converter topologies
- Technical problem-solving skills and experience in the production domain to address vehicle level issues
- Hands-on experience working in high-voltage laboratory and dynamometer environment
- Knowledge of embedded compiler, debugging tools and software
