Job Title: Electrical Engineer/Hardware Engineer
Locations: Onsite @ Redmond, WA
Duration: 9 Months to start
W2 Contract
The hardware engineer is responsible for the design of custom electronic assemblies, integration into the system, and ownership of system sustaining whilst the device is in use.
HW Engineer will develop low-volume prototype camera systems for engineering development
Minimum Experience:
Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent
Experience working with one of these technologies: use of oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, or function generators
Experience working with one of these technologies: microcontrollers, camera modules, DC/DCs, Power management, Battery Management System, USB
Proven technical communication skills
Preferred Experience:
Design of HDI PCBs
Design of Flexible Printed Circuit Boards
Defining cable looms
Experience with high-speed, multi-Gbps interfaces
Design of high power DC/DCs and hot swap/load switches and/or battery packs
Design of wearable electronics
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
8 years of industry experience in electrical design
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
Review and approve product prototypes and working models.
Supervise the functioning of equipment and approve modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
Write detailed functional specifications that document the hardware development process and support hardware introduction.
Act as a subject matter expert to engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
Provide training and support to system designers and users.
Design and develop computer hardware and support peripherals, including central processing units (CPUs), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and cameras.
Direct technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed.
Salary : $80 - $100
