Paralegal
Location: Detroit, MI 48265
Duration: 12 months
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, pretrial agreements and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal.
• Review legal journals and assist with legal research.
• May assist new lawyers how to prepare documents for submission to the courts.
• Assist attorneys in collecting information such as employment, medical, and other records.
• Attend legal meetings, such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and take notes.
• Organize and maintain law libraries, documents, and case files.
Education/Experience:
• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
• 1-2 years’ experience required.
