Description of responsibilities:
- Summary:
The main function of a software QA engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of software, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical software QA engineer has the ability to read and interpret technical languages including but not limited to Javascript, C , etc.

Protocol knowledge (5G/LTE/WCDMA/CDMA, IMS/VOLTE & all Call flows)
2. Field testing knowledge (Logging, debugging, test case creation, etc..)
3. Requirement & Telecom Standards understanding (able to understand & relate test conditions w.r.t carrier requirements/3GPP standards)
Summary:
The main function of a software QA engineer is to research and test the design, requirements, functionality and maintenance of software, systems and processes and develop quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the verification and validation of latest test devices and software applications.
Includes executing field/protocol test in a mobile or stationary environments based on 5G/LTE/GSM technologies
Creates, extends, and executes automated test plans to verify Wireless Mobile operation.
Use of logging tools and analyzing issue from logs, call failure and call drop analysis.
Prepare test reports on readiness of software after analysis of test results (Pass/Failures).
Report defects found during testing on the test management system and track defect status periodically.
Analyze carrier requirement documents/3GPP specifications, develop test cases and create drive routes.
Assist seniors in preparation of progress reports, performing work audit and device inventory tracking.
Individual contributor role will contribute to the product development team.
Skills:
5G/LTE/GSM and IMS/VoLTE, TCP/IP, IMS, E911 and 3GPP/3GPP2 Standards
Experience with tools like QXDM/QCAT/QPST, Wireshark/Ethereal/ADB
Experience in Android and smartphone platforms, including telephony and RIL, Qualcomm/Samsung AP/MDM Chipset Architecture
Automation testing experience using automation frameworks with Python, Java, and JavaScript language and ability of anlyzing Android logs, bugreport, dumpState, etc.
Experience in project tracking systems like JIRA, Test Central etc
Team player, detail oriented and ability to work effectively with other team members.
Work under minimum supervision and tight business deadlines.
Availability to work overtime during weekdays, weekends and ready to travel whenever required (about 20%)
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, EE or related field required.
2~4 years directly related experience required in android testing and field/protocol testing.

Job Responsibilities:
Review and test written logical database descriptions and identifiers.
Analyses software programs for bugs and errors in written code, through the conducting of system tests and requirement checks.
Facilitate the maintenance and repair to software programs when bugs arise.
May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
Coordinate testing activities.
Develop automation scripts using open source tools.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to read and write software code, performance analytics, and systems software.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make changes as needed to resolve issues
Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
5-7 years experience required.
