Job Title: DevOps Engineer Senior
Location: McLean, VA
Mode of Work: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension
Position Overview
Are you a Unix Administrator and software developer at heart? Do you know what the correct technical infrastructure is for an agile and business focused organization? Have you successfully delivered the right foundation that software development community thrives on? Do you have hands on experience with Ansible, Docker and Bash/Python scripting? If you've designed, provisioned and managed run-time platforms, fully automated continuous integration and deployment solutions then we have a destination for you: The DevOps team within the Capital Markets division of Client .
Your responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain automation for the run-time environment for Nimble Development Methodology (NDM) solutions
2. Automate provisioning of computing, network, and storage resources in the environment
3. Create and maintain the software deployment automation solutions
4. Define, implement and facilitate interface solutions with enterprise service management systems
5. Collaborate with divisional software developers to maximize developer productivity via NDM
6. Maintain production environment's integrity embracing the extended support model
Qualifications
1. 5yrs experience of Linux/Unix Administration
2. 3yrs experience of hands-on experience with Linux Containers
3. 6 - 10 years relevant professional experience
4. Expert in Operating System Platform Configuration:
• Linux platforms (Red Hat)
• Automated configuration management (Ansible)
5. Expert in High Availability techniques:
• Failover techniques and load balancing
• Business continuity – wide area resiliency
6. Expert in scripting languages:
• Bash / Python
• Groovy
7. Knowledge of software containerization and orchestration:
• Docker
• Kubernetes etc
8. Knowledge of Cloud computing platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Services etc.)
