Mission : IntelliTech is seeking a Data Mesh / Catalog Analyst with an Active DoD Secret Clearance to support the design and implementation of a robust data governance framework in support of a decentralized, domain-driven Data Mesh architecture. This role will play a pivotal part in standardizing how data is managed, accessed, and secured across the organization, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability. The analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders to align the Data Mesh strategy with organizational objectives and drive innovation through modern tools and technologies.This is an exciting opportunity to modernize data governance practices in highly dynamic environments, ensuring the delivery of secure, high-quality data across platforms. The role is open to candidates in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland, with consideration for candidates in other EST time zone locations.What You Will Do : Support the design and operationalization of a scalable and secure Data Mesh architecture to enable decentralized data ownership while maintaining enterprise-wide governance.Develop and enforce comprehensive data governance policies to standardize data management, quality, access, and security across domains.Build and oversee an organization of data owners and stewards, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data assets.Design and maintain Data Dictionaries and Reference Data Management to ensure consistency, usability, and alignment with the organizations Common Data Model.Implement processes to streamline Data Access Requests and provisioning while ensuring compliance with DoD and organizational security requirements.Support the ideation of tools and frameworks to enable self-service data quality management, empowering users to define and enforce data quality rules specific to their domains.Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of governance practices with organizational goals and priorities.Identify and integrate modern tools and technologies to operationalize and automate governance processes.Establish metrics and processes to monitor and evaluate data governance performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.What We Look For : Active DoD Secret Clearance required.Experience in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy implementation.Proficiency in Data Mesh principles and proven experience implementing Data Mesh architectures in large, complex organizations.Understanding of DoD data security and compliance requirements, including frameworks for classified and unclassified data.Experience designing and managing data lineage solutions to track data transformations and enable transparency across platforms.Expertise in developing and deploying event-driven systems for real-time data processing and integration.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.Great If You Have : Experience supporting the DoD or other federal agencies in data governance or data-centric roles.Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra or similar platforms and API management tools like Apigee.Familiarity with cloud-native and event-driven architectures leveraging tools like Databricks, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.Strong understanding of data lineage frameworks and the role of metadata management in enterprise data strategies.Pay Range and Benefits : IntelliTech is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is $90,000 $125,000 and represents a base salary range. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location.
