Compensation
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) can earn up to $33 an hour, with pay rates up to 25% higher on average. You have the freedom to choose when and where you want to work, making it easy to manage your finances and achieve your goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to post-acute residents in nearby areas
- Supporting residents with basic activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, personal hygiene, and grooming
- Protecting resident health and safety by maintaining a clean, sanitary, and hazard-free environment
- Assisting with transportation and movement of residents around the facility, as needed
- Documenting and reporting resident vital signs and updating the nursing team on physical and mental conditions
- Following and adhering to care plans for residents and all applicable policies, rules, and regulations
- Building relationships with residents based on trust and security
- Communicating effectively with staff, residents, and family members to ensure transparency and comfort
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology
- Ability to communicate with medical professionals and patients/residents and their family members
- High level of attention to detail
- Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
