Job Responsibilities
- Serving residents in post-acute facilities as an LPN
- Documenting residents' medical histories and any health concerns in a timely manner
- Keeping track of residents' vital signs, mental health, and physical conditions
- Monitoring the charts and medical records of residents
- Helping with the dispensing and verification of medications, and monitoring their effects
- Contributing to the maintenance of a comfortable and safe facility for residents
- Providing assistance with IV set up, immunizations, and phlebotomy procedures
- Assisting with medical supply storage and maintaining proper inventories
- Helping staff with the orientation and training of new hires
- Being accountable to adhere to care plans for residents and to follow all applicable regulations and policies
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Completion of approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) educational program
- Completion of high school or GED/equivalent program
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a LPN, or related role
- Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
