We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator with a deep understanding of SQL database management, advanced AWS infrastructure, and cloud-based database solutions. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of hands-on experience in managing large-scale SQL Server databases, a strong command of database performance optimization, disaster recovery, security, and automation, and advanced expertise in AWS database services like Amazon RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
Experience:
15 years of experience as an SQL Database Administrator, including extensive experience with SQL Server and cloud technologies.
Proven expertise in AWS cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
Deep knowledge of database performance optimization, troubleshooting, and tuning.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, query optimization, and high availability features (Always On, Clustering, etc.).
Advanced skills with AWS services including RDS, EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and others.
Proficiency in database scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Nagios, Datadog, and AWS CloudWatch.
Strong understanding of networking and security best practices within the AWS environment.
Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Database Specialty (preferred).
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (desirable).
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
