POSITION OBJECTIVE: The machine assistant will be responsible for keeping the machines supplied with paper, ink, glue, and cartons while learning the mechanics of the flexographic and converting machines. Old and new machinery. Clean work environment. First and second shift hours – Monday – Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous machine operating and packaging experience preferred.
- Experience preferred with large rolls of paper or plastic.
- Knowledge and use of various hand tools assigned including tape measure, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.
- Good verbal and written skills required.
- Basic Math required.
- Maintain a safe working environment on production lines.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Change paper rolls and printing plates.
- Monitor and keep machine supplied with paper, glue, and ink.
- Pack paper bags as necessary.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Fast-paced production floor with exposure to machinery noise.
- Must complete ongoing training as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
