TITLE: Hard Handle Operator
POSITION OBJECTIVE: A Hard Handle Operator is primarily responsible for the operation of Hard Handle lines, and reports directly to the Shift Supervisor or Lead Operator of the shift. The Hard Handle Operator is tasked to perform their assigned responsibilities in a timely manner, and to maintain product run rate and quality while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires good written and verbal communication skills
- Requires the ability to read a ruler and perform simple arithmetic functions consistently and accurately, including but not limited to converting decimals to fractions
- Requires the ability to know when to ask for assistance when a problem arises that will affect the department performance and product quality
- Requires the ability to solve practical equipment and/or product problems and be self-directed within the framework of the essential duties and responsibilities
- Clear understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the role they play in our day to day operations
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Has basic knowledge of Hard Handle machinery
- Ensures quality assurance on all products
- Complies with all Quality Control Procedures
- Complies with all Scrap Control Procedures
- Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosis of problems with Hard Handle equipment
- Complies with all shift quality and production reporting
- Reports all maintenance issues to the Lead Operator
- Packs and palletizes bags
- Keeps work station clean and orderly, free from excess bags and other debris
- Performs rework as required
- Adheres to and complies with Company safety policies and procedures
- Assists the management team in maintaining quality system effectiveness
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- The work environment described here is representative of those an employee would encounter on a daily basis while performing the job functions.
- This position works a 12/hour shift. The schedule includes day and night work as well as weekends and holidays. It can also include overtime when needed.
