IT System Intern

TITLE:  IT System Intern - Work Program Student   POSITION OBJECTIVE: This person’s primary responsibility is maintaining and troubleshooting PC and server hardware/software, printers, network switches/wiring.  Secondary responsibilities include end user support, scripting, and software/system upgrades.  Other responsibilities are network connectivity/VLANs, user/AD maintenance, and documentation.   QUALIFICATIONS: Some technical training/college is preferred Knowledge of WAN / LAN / VLAN / VPN Basic understanding of PC/server hardware/software Windows / Linux / DOS Effective written and verbal communication   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Windows and Linux server administration Virtual Box setup and maintenance Network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting Diagnosing and correcting network problems Troubleshooting personal computer problems Providing end user support for PC trouble issues and network problems Restoring lost or corrupted files and maintain file level security on the network Logging support calls and daily tasks Informing IT Manager in a timely manner of IT related issues Special projects as directed by the IT Manager Complies with all SQF procedures Reports any food safety problems to a member of management or SQF Practitioner   Other Skills/Abilities Attention to detail and effective communication Requires the ability to understand the rapidly changing technical environments of the information field   WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION: Manufacturing environment/Office Setting Hot and Cold temperatures on production floor Loud noises on production floor
