TITLE: Office Assistant
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Efficiently and accurately assist employees with general office and HR related questions and assists all plant management with administrative duties. This role supports the Human Resources Department and Plant Management.
Ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Previous work experience in office setting required.
Human Resources experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and good administrative and organizational skills.
Must work in a team and must have good interpersonal skills.
Ability to use discretion, be honest and maintain employee confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High School diploma or GED required.
Two years’ Human Resource experience (manufacturing experience a plus).
Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Interviews job applicants to match their qualifications with Pitt Plastics needs.
Prepares all onboarding paperwork and helps facilitate on-boarding of newly hired employees.
Maintain PPE inventory.
Member of the Safety Committee.
Assists HR Generalist with employee event planning.
Responsible for maintaining up to date HR information on all bulletin boards as directed by HR Generalist.
Responsible for posting weekly schedule.
Processing of temporary service employee payroll.
Translation of documents or conversations between management and employees.
Receptionist and General Office Responsibilities:
Professionally answer and direct all incoming calls.
Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner and ensure maintenance of sign-in log.
Complete check requisitions for plant invoices to be sent to Corporate Accounting, tracking of all incoming invoices and check requests, and file maintenance of all invoices.
Distribute incoming mail.
Ordering of office supplies.
Purchase Requisitions for plant.
Assist Plant Management with any other assigned duties.
Maintain site employee bag order requests and submit them to Corporate Accounting/HR.
