The ideal candidate will work onsite and play a critical role in ensuring smooth processes and resolving issues during the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and stabilize production yields.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in simple electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct yield investigations and implement countermeasures to address process dips.
- Support reprocessing operations for surgical devices, which includes:
- Receiving and identifying used devices from hospitals.
- Disassembling and cleaning devices before transferring to another facility.
- Collaborating with the receiving site for assembly, functional testing, and packaging.
- Trace yield issues to the point of origin and develop actionable solutions.
- Participate in production activities across multiple sites (Chandler, Lakeland, and TJ).
The reprocessing of surgical devices involves several key steps:
- Devices are received, identified, and sorted by model.
- Devices may be disassembled prior to cleaning.
- Cleaned devices are transferred to a second facility for assembly, testing, and packaging.
- Final products are sent out for sterilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
- Experience in manufacturing transfers or related processes is a plus.
