Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide essential engineering support to our client's manufacturing processes, projects, and functions. You will play a key role in evaluating manufacturing outcomes, implementing continuous improvements, and driving cost efficiencies. You will also support New Product Introductions (NPI) and new equipment/process introductions. This is an individual contributor role where you will leverage your expertise to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in production.
- Evaluate manufacturing outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and the introduction of new equipment or processes.
- Apply professional judgment to make informed decisions based on your experience and knowledge of engineering principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing activities.
- Work independently while managing multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience in the field).
- Strong understanding and application of engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to evaluate processes, identify issues, and implement solutions effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on previous experiences and best practices.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or a highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with NPI processes and new equipment/process introductions.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
