IntePros is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our global healthcare client. This person will manage tax account registrations, handle escalated tax inquiries, and support various tax-related processes. This role involves working closely with taxing authorities, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in payroll tax operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete and submit new account registration forms to taxing jurisdictions
- Address escalated tax tracers and resolve account issues with taxing authorities
- Follow up on newly established state accounts and provide updates to third-party vendors (e.g., SUI rates)
- Audit tax accounts for activity and coordinate with the Payroll Tax Coordinator to close inactive accounts
- Collaborate with the Corporate Tax Department to open new local and state tax accounts
- Communicate with internal partners and external parties regarding tax or payroll issues
- Assist in updating tax accounts during mergers, consolidations, and divestitures
- File tax returns and amendments that third-party vendors cannot process.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
