The ideal candidate will have experience gathering and documenting reporting requirements while effectively communicating across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and execute SQL queries for ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
- Utilize Excel (charts, functions, pivot tables) and PowerPoint to extract insights, visualize data, and tell compelling stories.
- Work with data visualization tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI) to generate meaningful reports and dashboards.
- Gather, document, and communicate reporting requirements for future dashboard enhancements or new report development.
- Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, collaborating with data engineers, product managers, business analysts, and business users.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze data sets, ask the right questions, identify data inconsistencies, and uncover insights.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy, ensuring reports are interpreted correctly and insights are reliable.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for data visualization and presentations.
- Experience with data visualization tools (MicroStrategy preferred, but Tableau or Power BI acceptable).
