The Infrastructure and Environment Sector (INE) Front Office provides technical and operational support on a variety of areas, such as: monitoring of the department's work program, pipeline, portfolio, operational and knowledge indicators; managing the preparation and execution of the budget; providing statistical reporting and presentations on different operational and corporate issues; preparing and administrating consulting contracts as well as managing human resources processes, technical cooperation issues, among other activities.

This role will play a key part in ensuring our agreements are effective and efficient, while supporting organizational goals and compliance standards. You will work with the Front Office team which is part of the Infrastructure and Energy Sector.

About This Position
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to enhance INE’s operations by focusing on the preparation and analysis of contracts. This role will play a key part in ensuring our agreements are effective and efficient, while supporting organizational goals and compliance standards. You will work with the Front Office team which is part of the Infrastructure and Energy Sector.
What you’ll do
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and review of Terms of Reference (TOR) for contracts submitted by INE Divisions
- Assess and evaluate consultants’ fees to ensure alignment with project requirements, budgetary constraints, and industry standards
- Review existing contracts to identify areas for improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation
- Extensive knowledge and ability to discuss increases and reviews from consultants and specialist, using HR tools and providing supporting information.
- Prepare CW contracts, Firm Contracts and process their extensions, cancellations, payments, and amendments
- Advice Management and Specialists in all Procurement, Financial policies and guidelines
- Process payments related to TCs, Ordinary Capital, Trust Fund (EFCs) and Transactional budget
- Able to maintain dialogue with key members from INE Sector, Finance and Human Resources departments
- Responsible for ensuring that the Bank’s policies are fully complied in each statement of expenses related to employees’ travel
- Responsible to prepare a variety of reports for INE Front Office in matters related to Complementary Workforce and Firms
- Focal point for matters related to modifications of Complementary Workforce (CW) policies and changes and updates of CW systems
- The activities mentioned above are part of the main responsibilities of the consultant position; however, they do not exclude additional day-to-day activities that may be required for the fulfillment of the tasks
- Education: Master’s degree.
- Experience: five (5) years of relevant professional experience or the equivalent, combination of education and experience, knowledge and use of systems: SAP, Convergence, EZ-Share and Service Now desired.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written.
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
- Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
- Length of contract: 12 months with possibility of extension up to 36 months.
