About This Position
We are seeking an energetic, multifaceted, and resourceful individual to join our team and provide essential operational support to the Resource Mobilization Division (REM). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the REM team’s efforts in strengthening and expanding the IDB Group’s strategic partnerships and resource mobilization initiatives.
You will work in REM, part of the Global Partnerships Office department. This team is responsible for leading the IDB Group’s efforts to expand its capacity to serve the Region, through the mobilization of partnerships that provide our region with (i) reimbursable and non-reimbursable resources for additional financing, (ii) knowledge, and (iii) innovation. The Division works on developing new and enhancing existing partnerships, in close coordination with relevant teams from our Vice Presidencies of Countries (VPC), Sectors (VPS), Finance and Administration (VPF), and Human Resources and Digital Transformation (VPHD), respectively, and with IDB Invest and IDB Lab.

What you’ll do
Support of Partnerships and Mobilization Activities
- Assist in expanding the IDB Group’s strategic alliances and stakeholder dialogue, based on a systematic analysis of their context and priorities in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify potential partners, including governments, companies, foundations, NGOs, and other key players in the global development community.
- Support the administration of partnership and mobilization activities, ensuring alignment with internal/external clients to manage and foster partnerships, including:
- Conducting research and market intelligence analysis.
- Preparing presentation materials to support partnership outreach.
- Facilitating legal processes for institutional agreements and resource mobilization.
- Managing day-to-day communication with partners and stakeholders.
- Coordinating, organizing, and executing GPS activities and key events.
- Assist in managing the GPS agenda, focusing on high-priority business activities involving the GPS Manager and REM Chief, while coordinating with teams within GPS and across the IDB Group for effective execution.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile global and IDB Group events, particularly those involving external stakeholders, senior management, and key officials.
- Collaborate with the team to design, prepare, and execute high-level events, ensuring that all logistics, timelines, and communications are effectively managed.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events, including budget creation, vendor coordination, and ensuring the smooth execution of all activities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in business administration, finance, international development, economics, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in resource mobilization.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required.
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
- International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
