Job Summary
The Captain will be reporting to the Project Manager to support in the oversight of this government contract with Inter-Con Security. The Captain will provide oversight of the security force and AMDO’s. However, the Captain will also provide coverage for the Project Manager when the Project Manager I on leave or unavailable. When the Project Manager is on leave, the Captain will assume all Project Manager responsibilities for the contract.

Job Summary

Duties/Responsibilities
- The Captain handles the daily security force operations which includes but is not limited to scheduling, roll call, and post inspections.
- The Captain will recommend and administer disciplinary action where necessary.
- The Captain will prepare and/or review all incident reports prior to submission to the COR, while also preparing officer certifications.
- All response to emergencies will handled by the Captain, while reviewing forms for accuracy.
- The Captain will direct and monitor agency special events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- The Captain and Project Manager must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to comprehend rules, detailed instructions, and training materials.
- It is required that the Captain to be able to maintain pose and self-control under stressful conditions requiring quick decisions.
- Both the Project Manager and Captain must have demonstrated experience to effectively manage a security force of 50 or more officers.
- An understanding of security operations and contracts management preferred.
- Understand operational KPIs and ability to utilize data to drive operations.
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and time management skills.
- A great communicator that gets the value of teamwork.
- Comfortable in an ever changing, fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Technologically savvy - experienced with MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of technology driven scheduling platforms a plus.
- Project management experience. PMP certification a plus.
- Adept in leading teams in complex problem solving.
- Customer Service orientation required.
- Able to interact in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
- Must be flexible and possess the ability to meet deadlines in a high tempo environment.
- Excellent time-management, organization and multi-tasking skills required.
- A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive work attitude.

- The Captain must have at least an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of lawn enforcement OR
- The Captain must have training and experience in law enforcement operations as well as training and/or experience in payroll activities and personnel administration.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading correspondence and using the computer, and acute hearing when providing phone and counter service to the public.
- Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including other departments, locations, and mandatory overtime.
- Time flexibility depending on the needs of the company.
