Essential Functions for the Heavy Equipment Operator Include:
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
- Sort cargo before loading and unloading. Ability to stage all loads properly.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
Minimum Required Education and Experience For the Heavy Equipment Operator Include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting operating a front end loader, forklift, skid-steer loader and other equipment to move and load product weighing up to 3, 000 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and work at heights.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift as needed, enter and exit heavy equipment.
- Written communication skills is required.
- Must be able to work independently and make decisions.
