Essential Functions for the Metal Fabricator Include:
- Read and interrupt work instructions.
- Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job.
- Set stops or guides to specified lengths.
- Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues.
- Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Help pack and transport finished pieces.
- Accurately complete paperwork.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Metal Fabricator Include:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Experience operating a saw (1-3 years preferred).
- Experience operation a forklift (1-2 years preferred).
- Basic math and measurement skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, with a sense of urgency.
- Safety and housekeeping awareness.
- Must be to maintain long periods of standing and bending.
- Load/unload trucks.
- If necessary, may deliver finished product to the customer.
- Must have a valid drivers license, no exceptions.
