ICCDAA's Methadone Clinic is seeking four (4) part-time Credentialed Intern/Counselor Intern/Counselor/Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors for the following two schedules:
1. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays – 6:30am to 11:30am and Saturdays – 7:00am to 10:30am
2. Tuesdays and Thursdays - 6:30am to 11:30am and Saturdays - 7:00am to 10:30am.
The Clinician/Counselor works under the direct supervision of the Clinic Supervisor and Executive Director, with no supervisory responsibilities. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Maintain and service your client caseload, including providing individual counseling and group counseling sessions. This also includes establishing short-term and long-term goals with your clients.
2. Ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner – including all progress notes and treatment plan documentation – in conformity with Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services guidelines.
3. Participate actively at all required staff meetings and training sessions.
4. Complete all competency-based training, both internal and external, in order to qualify for or maintain certification and/or licensure.
5. Meet all legal, licensing, and ethical requirements of your respective credentialing body, if applicable.
Candidates should possess:
- LCADC or CADC or be in the process of obtaining certification or licensure or be willing to work toward certification and licensure.
- Minimum of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or related discipline or enrolled in a social sciences program
- One year of work experience in a substance use treatment agency, preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to perform all the work responsibilities as described above
- A high degree of personal stability and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with clients in a substance use treatment setting
Hourly Rate = $25.00
