What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Hand/End Checker position at Inter-Mountain Pipe and Threading Inc.?
Inter-Mountain Pipe & Threading Co provides exceptional products and services utilizing creative technologies. State of the art equipment and CAD design software are used to develop and improve products used in piping applications.
We manufacture such items as flush joint casing, crossovers, lift subs and sonic drill bits. Our manufacturing facility includes five CNC lathes plus manual equipment including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, power tongs and welding equipment (including a submerged-arc system).

End Checkers are an integral part of our crew. Duties for an end checkers can be physically demanding and can require working in an outdoor shop setting. They may be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes, depending on the work setting and may be required to wear protective clothing, such as safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots and earplugs.
· Must be able to safely operate and control assigned equipment
· Maintains equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance
· Completing daily and / or weekly equipment inspection checklists
· Load or assist with loading materials or equipment
· Prepare documents or reports related to work
· Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
· Pass Pre-Employment drug screen
· Must be able to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching
· Must be able to be a subject of loud work environments
· Must be able to be a subject of extreme cold and warm outside work environmental temperatures
