What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Inter-Rail Transport, Inc.?
Description of Position;
Fundamentals of this position consist of being responsible for all aspects of Inventory control and communication of any inventory related problem to Inventory supervision. Personnel must follow Inventory processes to comply with established goals and requirements of Interrail transport and costumers.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities;
Maintain the Quality System Policies and Objectives.
Must have working knowledge of the railroad’s inventory control system.
Scan vehicles into inventory efficiently and accurately with the railroads inventory control system.
Assist in all aspects of the Quality Control department.
Manage and enforce the damage/INOP procedures and reporting.
Follow all company procedures as they relate to inventory control or other areas that effect inventory, as well as reporting any deviations or Inventory issues that may occur.
Report any safety or quality defects to Operations personnel.
Assist in compiling information and provide to QC management as they relate to safety, quality, or inventory.
Any other reports or special projects required by the company or customers. This description is an outline of the major recurring responsibilities of the job. It is not intended to be all-inclusive of the work performed.
Must pass background check, drug test and e-railsafe.
