Location: Vineland NJ (onsite)
Duration: 4 month contract-to-hire
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team at a dynamic industrial food production facility. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who can effectively multitask and manage several projects simultaneously. With a strong background in various mechanical disciplines, the Facility Mechanic will ensure that all our equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct TIG welding on stainless steel, ensuring strong and clean welds that meet industry standards.
- Perform a variety of plumbing tasks, maintaining and repairing our facility's plumbing systems.
- Utilize a wide range of mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Engage in carpentry and fabrication work to create and repair facility structures.
- Carry out limited electrical repairs and maintenance tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for food production.
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts, adhering to all safety guidelines and standards.
- Use a vast knowledge of tools and equipment to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and maintenance tasks without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic in an industrial or food production facility.
- Expertise in TIG welding with stainless steel.
- Proficient in plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical work.
- HVAC knowledge and experience.
- Certified to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Strong understanding of the tools and equipment used in industrial maintenance.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training is a plus.
