Job Summary:
As a Sanitation Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of food production equipment, floors, and work areas throughout the Clients facility. This role is essential to ensure our operations meet strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, machinery, and work areas
- Disassemble and reassemble food processing equipment for deep cleaning
- Use approved chemicals and cleaning agents safely and efficiently
- Follow and document sanitation procedures per company and regulatory standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, restrooms, break rooms, and facility exterior as needed
- Assist in routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance
- Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams
- Properly dispose of waste and follow all safety and PPE protocols
- Report any unsafe conditions, sanitation issues, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning experience in a food production or warehouse environment preferred
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments (38–45°F)
- Must be comfortable working with chemicals and cleaning agents (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive movements
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
