Now, we’re looking for a Director, Product Management to take charge of our privacy and accountability standards , driving industry alignment and adoption of best-in-class frameworks. If you’re an experienced product manager with a deep understanding of digital advertising, data privacy laws, and programmatic workflows , this is your opportunity to make an impact on a global scale.

What You’ll Do Drive Innovation in Privacy & Accountability

  • Set the Industry Agenda : Gather requirements from member companies, trade organizations, and internal teams to define and prioritize the privacy and accountability roadmap.
  • Lead Product Development : Oversee the execution of Tech Lab working groups and software projects , ensuring standards, tools, and compliance programs are developed and maintained effectively.
  • Integrate Across Standards : Identify opportunities to incorporate Tech Lab’s broader portfolio into privacy and accountability work, creating more robust and scalable solutions.

Launch & Scale Products

  • Market Adoption & GTM Strategy : Develop go-to-market strategies and drive industry-wide adoption for privacy and accountability products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Tech Lab engineering, product management, and compliance teams to deliver and support standards-related and compliance-related services and tools.
  • Thought Leadership & Advocacy : Represent IAB Tech Lab at industry conferences, working groups, and member events , helping to shape the conversation around privacy and accountability .
  • Shape the Future of Digital Privacy

  • Align Standards with Evolving Privacy Laws : Ensure Tech Lab standards align with evolving global privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and emerging regulations .
  • Enable Trust & Transparency : Support the development of technical standards and framework that build trust between brands, publishers, and consumers .
  • Who You Are

  • Proven Product Leader : You have at least 5 years of direct product management experience and 7 years of overall work experience, with a proven track record of launching and scaling successful products .
  • Deep Ad Tech Knowledge : You understand programmatic advertising, real-time bidding (RTB), identity resolution, and the flow of data within programmatic advertising.
  • Strong Privacy Knowledge : You have experience implementing data privacy regulations and / or a strong understanding of their impact on digital advertising.
  • Exceptional Communicator : You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging narratives for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic & Tactical Thinker : You can seamlessly operate at the strategic, operational, and execution levels , managing roadmaps, priorities, and stakeholder expectations .
  • Bonus Points If You Have :

  • Strong understanding of privacy-enhancing technologies and data management best practices.
  • Experience in program management, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder engagement .
  • Familiarity with consumer privacy controls and regulatory compliance tools .
  • Previous experience contributing to IAB Tech Lab, other industry working groups, or open-source standards
