Credentials:
We need you to have either one of these certifications:
1. Either CNA or CMA
2. Or pharmacy technician certificate
3. or a medication aide
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
- Prepare and package medications for patients
- Perform medication inventory management and order supplies as needed
- Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- At least one experience working in a pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Familiarity with medication administration, including inhalation and IV infusion techniques
- Understanding of aseptic technique in handling sterile products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
