Job Description:
The HR Generalist with Payroll will play a key role in supporting the HR function and ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes within our organization. Reporting to the HR Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, payroll administration, and experience with Insperity or similar HR outsourcing services. Additionally, candidates with 4 plus years of experience in the real estate sector are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll accurately and timely using payroll software or HRIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll data as needed.
2. HR Operations:
- Assist with various HR functions, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives as needed.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives to support organizational goals.
3. Compliance and Policy Administration:
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues and policies.
4. Vendor Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR outsourcing services, such as Insperity or similar HR service providers.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of HR services and support.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare HR and payroll-related reports for management review.
- Analyze HR data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR generalist roles, with a focus on payroll administration.
- Experience with payroll software or HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Experience working in the real estate sector is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
