What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Data Engineer position at Interactive Resources - iR?
We have an exciting opportunity with our client, a leading company local to Austin, seeking a QA Data Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of data sets through automated and manual testing. This role works within the technology QA team alongside data engineers, validating data in multiple formats (JSON, XML, CSV, RDF) across internal systems.
This is a 6-month contract with possibility for extension and conversion to full-time (not guaranteed!)
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to enable automated testing and maintain data integrity.
- Develop and execute test plans for ETL processes, databases, reports, and APIs.
- Create scripts to automate data quality testing in data lakehouse and warehouse environments.
- Conduct functional, end-to-end, and exploratory testing, covering edge cases.
- Support UI testing in conjunction with backend data validation.
- Communicate test results and quality assurance updates to stakeholders.
