Senior Manager Application Development
Fully Remote - EST hours
$150k plus bonus
We are seeking a dynamic technology leader with a passion for driving innovation in healthcare applications. The Senior Application Development Manager will oversee and guide a talented development team. This is a fully remote, direct hire role where you will play a pivotal part in enhancing a proprietary, mission-critical RCM platform used by healthcare organizations nationwide.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of application developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
- Act as a hands-on leader, providing guidance on architecture, development best practices, and problem-solving when needed
- Partner closely with executive stakeholders, product teams, and clients to ensure the platform continues to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry
- Take ownership of the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies, implementing best practices and ensuring smooth adoption across the team
- Step in as a Product Owner and Scrum Master when necessary, ensuring effective backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery of high-impact solutions
- Oversee and contribute to development efforts, with an emphasis on SQL and backend optimization to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance
- Support the evolution of the platform by identifying opportunities for modernization and optimization while maintaining stability and reliability
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in managing software development teams, with a track record of delivering enterprise applications
- Strong background in SQL development and optimization, with expertise in database performance tuning, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Experience with .NET, Java, or similar backend technologies (Delphi experience is a plus but not required)
- A deep understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or healthcare applications is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience leading teams through Agile transformations, including implementing Scrum, Kanban, or other frameworks
- Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and goals
- Passion for improving development processes, optimizing workflows, and fostering innovation within a growing organization
