What You Will Enjoy Doing
You will coordinate and supervise all Integrated Management System (IMS) activities at the manufacturing site to ensure that products meet both internal and customer quality and regulatory expectations. You will also assist the Plant Manager with customer communication related to quality and play a key role in promoting a quality and continuous improvement mindset throughout the plant.

  • Ensure compliance with all quality management system requirements (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and other standards as required)
  • Serve as the primary practitioner for HACCP programs (as applicable) and support risk assessment and change management activities
  • Prepare and successfully complete internal and external quality and/or food safety audits
  • Generate monthly reports for quality and food safety system data per corporate procedures, both locally and regionally as required
  • Ensure production compliance with all regulatory, internal, and customer product/packaging specifications
  • Issue customer-mandated compliance documents (i.e., COAs, regulatory statements)
  • Oversee plant quality control programs, including product testing, data integrity, and rework management
  • Manage performance of quality test equipment, including calibration programs
  • Assist operations in new product (AQP) and equipment qualification activities
  • Standardize and optimize plant quality documentation and utilize standard document control systems
  • Report supplier quality issues per standard procedures and support complaint resolution with the logistics team
  • Host customer visits and act as the primary contact for quality-related communications
  • Manage the customer complaint process, applying proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques
  • Support RCA training for other departments within the plant
  • Ensure all personnel performing quality testing are trained and qualified
  • Hold regular quality staff meetings
  • Foster efficient teamwork
  • Ensure accurate time and attendance tracking of the team
  • Assist with recruiting new employees in partnership with HR
  • Perform disciplinary actions as needed
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Assess and ensure completion of training needs for staff

Requirements
What Makes You Great
Education/Experience:

  • 4-year degree in a STEM/technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with physical lab testing equipment, including calipers, scales, digital height gauges, and compression force testing. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, with a proven track record in QA management, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficiency with Excel, SPC software, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Strong customer relations management skills
  • Ability to manage a multi-task environment with excellent organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,107.00 - $115,000.00 per year
