We are looking for a seasoned Information Assurance Analyst to join our team at Fort Detrick, MD. This role involves critical cybersecurity oversight for the Joint Project Manager (JPM) for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Medical programs. Clearance Required: Secret
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Site Supervisor - directly manage on-site personnel and ensure the smooth execution of daily tasks. Act as the bridge between the contractor team, the Contract Manager, and government representatives.
- Compliance and Strategy Development: Examine JPM CBRN Medical programs to ensure compliance with DoD Instruction 8500.01, developing and ensuring consistent Cybersecurity Strategies across all relevant programs.
- Security Information Management: Assist in identifying Critical Program Information (CPI), threats from foreign collections, and classification needs, ensuring proper protection measures are in place throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support in Testing and Evaluation: Provide cybersecurity support during various test events like Development Test (DT), User Demonstration (UD), etc., managing sensitive information including export-controlled and sensitive but unclassified data.
- Technical Cybersecurity Management: Manage, install, configure, and maintain security systems like HBSS, ACAS, DISA STIG Viewer, and other necessary cybersecurity tools.
- Documentation and Planning: Document cybersecurity approaches, contribute to Life Cycle Management Plans, Security Classification Guides, and Program Protection Plans, guiding the certification and accreditation processes.
- Risk Management: Manage information-related risks within enterprise architectures, acquisition strategies, and testing, ensuring strong cybersecurity measures are in place to defend information systems.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Directly interface with JPM CBRN Medical for discussions on cybersecurity strategy, application security in development processes, and alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Travel: Up to 20% CONUS and less than 10% OCONUS travel may be required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Certifications: Must have or be able to obtain an RMF certification within six months at no cost to the government. Active security certification like CAP, CISSP, or Security required (or obtained within one year of employment).
- Experience: At least seven years of experience in IT support with a focus on information assurance.
- Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Familiarity with JPEO-CBRND programs would be advantageous.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
