Supports the Commercial Lending staff by performing a variety of duties related to the processing, administration, and closing of new and existing commercial and real estate loans. Incumbent assists the Commercial Lenders by dealing directly with customers concerning their credit and deposit relationship with the bank.
Essential Functions
- Records new applications, loans and deposit accounts.
- Communicates directly with customers concerning their relationship with the bank; answering customer inquiries and resolving routine problems.
- Obtains customer credit information and ensures sufficient loan collateral.
- Monitors past due loans and overdraft accounts.
- Prepares periodic loan and credit reports.
- Reviews and files forms and documents.
- Meets/talks with customers concerning their relationship with the bank.
- Interacts in a professional, courteous manner with customers, co-workers, vendors, etc…
- Maintains strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with Company policy.
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise of general bank accounting procedures and supports the Company’s overall mission, standards, policies and procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain personal grooming and company dress and appearance standards.
- Maintain company attendance standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Two years of banking administration experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Satisfactory credit and criminal background check.
- Skills:
- Hard Skills: Proficient in basic computer operations. Proficient in 10-key. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Able to type efficiently.
- Soft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization skills, can-do attitude, problem solving skills, decision-making skills sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Requires sitting for an extending period with some walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
- Occasional light lifting not over 25lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
