Salary

Compensation ranges from $34.00/hr for new graduates to up to $50.00/hr for temporary positions based on experience. Job Description
The Dental Hygienist will assist dental providers in providing high-quality, preventive patient-centered primary oral health care to InterCare's target populations. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing efficient and effective patient preventive care according to adopted clinical standards.
• Preparing patients for treatment, including blood pressures, pulse, and patient identification.
• Providing preventative treatment, including caries risk assessment, periodontal assessment, prophylaxis, applying sealants and fluoride treatments under supervision of the dentist.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with patients, using diverse learning techniques, and documenting their understanding.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a thorough understanding of theory and practices of dentistry acquired through graduating from an accredited four-year Bachelor of Dental Hygiene program or a two-year Associate in Dental Hygiene program. Maintaining an active license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Michigan is also required.
