The Dental Hygienist will assist dental providers in providing high-quality, preventive patient-centered primary oral health care to InterCare's target populations. Key responsibilities include:
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a thorough understanding of theory and practices of dentistry acquired through graduating from an accredited four-year Bachelor of Dental Hygiene program or a two-year Associate in Dental Hygiene program. Maintaining an active license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Michigan is also required.

Job Description
The Dental Hygienist will assist dental providers in providing high-quality, preventive patient-centered primary oral health care to InterCare's target populations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing efficient and effective patient preventive care according to adopted clinical standards.
- Preparing patients for treatment, including blood pressures, pulse, and patient identification.
- Providing preventative treatment, including caries risk assessment, periodontal assessment, prophylaxis, applying sealants and fluoride treatments under supervision of the dentist.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with patients, using diverse learning techniques, and documenting their understanding.
