InterCare is searching for a full-time Medical Assistant Apprentice to join our team at our Bangor location! Work Schedule :
Hours are Monday through Friday from 7 : 45 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. with variable shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
Primary Accountability
An apprentice, in medical assisting, is an individual enrolled in a 12-month training program that combines hands-on lab time, job training and online learning. Apprentices receive a starting pay of $16.00 per hour. This position is full-time with benefits and includes 4 hours of paid learning time. Each apprentice is expected to dedicate 5-10 hours of independent learning at home throughout the program to enhance their skills and knowledge. There are tuition costs, like any educational program, which will be explained in more detail during an interview. This position is required to be bilingual, conversational Spanish.
The apprentice's responsibilities include learning and developing practical clinical skills, participating in online classes, observing all health and safety codes, completing school work and competencies, and passing the Certified Medical Assistant Exam.
The apprentice must also be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible. To be successful as an apprentice, you must have great time management and basic computer skills, strong professionalism, strong attendance including being on time, be flexible, open and be ready to learn.
