Position Overview
The Vice President of People Performance and Development will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness. This role will shape the future of our organization by building and scaling robust people operations that support our mission of delivering outstanding behavioral health services.
Salary: Starting at $165k
Reports to: Chief People Officer
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with C-suite executives to develop and implement organization-wide strategies that drive business growth and transformation
- Lead the development of innovative People initiatives that support organizational objectives and enhance operational efficiency
- Design and oversee change management strategies during periods of organizational growth and transformation
Training, Professional Development, Learning & Knowledge Management
- Design and implement strategies for career pathways, professional development, and ongoing learning, training, and mentoring; facilitate organizational-wide learning
- Create and implement comprehensive professional development programs that support clinical excellence and ABA best practices
- Establish mentorship and career advancement frameworks that support employee growth and retention
- Develop leadership training programs that strengthen our management and executive pipeline across clinical, administrative, and corporate functions
- Design and oversee organizational hierarchies and managerial structures which facilitate efficient spans of control, professional development, and employee engagement
- Design and implement knowledge management systems that capture, preserve, and share institutional expertise and best practices across the organization
- Create frameworks for documenting and disseminating, operational procedures, and organizational learning to support scalable growth
Talent Management and Culture
- Drive performance management processes that align individual goals with organizational objectives
- Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and staff satisfaction
- Oversee conflict resolution processes and employee relations programs
- Design and implement recognition programs that celebrate employee achievements
- Create strategies to measure and improve employee engagement, satisfaction and retention
Operational Excellence
- Direct the implementation and optimization of Performance technologies and the supporting systematic workflows to ensure proper adoption and utilization of these technologies across the organization
- Oversee people operations including performance management, compensation, and benefits as part of a comprehensive total rewards package
- Develop and maintain people policies that ensure regulatory compliance and best practices
- Lead the creation of data-driven metrics to measure program effectiveness

Qualifications
- Required Experience
- 12 years of Performance Management and People Development experience, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading HR functions in healthcare or behavioral health organizations preferred
- Experience scaling HR operations in high-growth environments
- Strong background in developing and implementing professional development programs
- Demonstrated success in building positive workplace cultures
Education
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional HR certifications a plus (SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
- Knowledge of behavioral health industry and ABA therapy preferred
