Spray Booth Operator

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for assisting in proper operation of various machines including Superfici spray booth, stack oven, color change pumping system, ROBA Tech sander, various conveyors and all other material associated with the finishing system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must operate machinery safely at all times.
• Monitor and adjust spray patterns, color, film thickness, sheen, oven temperatures in support of primary operator.
• Responsible for following process controls to insure proper operation of all equipment.
• Able to assist with operation of different pieces of equipment.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers as well as management and equipment and material suppliers.
• Take an active interest in new technology and be trained in the application of the technology.
• Be innovative in helping find the best practice for each process and maintain the best practice.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team.
• Must be willing to work in a fast pace environment and be responsible for their actions.
• Must be willing to follow all safety rules at all times including all proper PPE.
• Must be willing to work with liquid paint in containers from 1 gallon, approximately 8 lbs., up to 55 gallons, approximately 450 lbs. using proper material handling equipment.
• Must be able to work effectively with other employees on the finishing line
• Must be able to differentiate different shades of color
• Must be comfortable operating a computer
• Must have good troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs from the ground to waist level, stand on feet all day, and conduct repetitive gripping and wrist motions
