As a Senior Fleet Business Analyst at Intercity Transit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational and strategic functions of the Fleet Maintenance Division. This position is responsible for providing analytical and technical support, conducting research and data analyses, and developing metrics and dashboards to enhance service utilization and operational efficiency. The analyst will collaborate closely with leadership to report on performance metrics and identify trends, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
This position also has the responsibility of: designing, implementing, evaluating, and/or utilizing computerized management reports from the fleet information management system to prepare recommendations to improve workload balance, and increase process efficiencies.

As a Senior Fleet Business Analyst, you will:- Serves as the Fleet Maintenance Subject Matter expert and provides analytical, technical, planning and operational support.
- Assists in the ERP/EAM planning, implementation, training, and system maintenance.
- Analyzes, research, and synthesize large amounts of data.
- Defines problems and present solutions to division leadership.
- Research new technologies to enhance operations, improve customer experience, and provide a path to a more sustainable fleet.
- Provides support to fleet leadership to develop policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Serves as administrator for oil sample analysis, service recommendations, diagnostic computers and software systems.
- Maintains fleet asset inventory.
- Facilitates meetings.
- Participates and represents the Fleet Maintenance division on various committees to present and discuss trend data and facilitate discussion on action items. May be required to represent agency on external boards or events.
- Bachelor's Degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Three (3) years of experience in fleet maintenance operations, research, organizational methods analysis, statistical analysis, and/or productivity work measurement studies.
- Valid WA state driver's license.
- Intermediate level user in Microsoft products, specifically in Excel.
- Proficient in learning new databases, especially Fleet Management Software.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Must submit to a criminal background check the results of which must meet hiring criteria for the role.
- Knowledge of cost/benefit and operational analysis; maintenance or enterprise asset management software; methods, materials, tools and standard practices for fleet maintenance; hazards and safety precautions within a fleet maintenance shop; collaboration and team building practices; modern office procedures, methods, and equipment; English language, grammar and punctuation; mathematical concepts.
- Skilled in customer service; reading, analyzing, and interpreting government regulations; public speaking and presenting; managing projects; conducting research; maintaining records; handling multiple tasks simultaneously; defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions; facilitating meetings; communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing including research, preparing reports, and business correspondence.
- Receive a competitive salary of $96,179.20 - $129,833.60 annually in addition to annual general wage/cost of living adjustments typically received in January and step increases in July (if not at top of salary range).
