Starting Pay Range: $60,000

Position Type: FTE (37.5 hours/wk)

PURPOSE:

The Children’s BCM Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision of the Children’s BCMs and oversees the day-to-day operations of Blended Case Management (BCM), which supports individuals, who have a behavioral health disorder, with accessing critical behavioral health, medical, social, educational/vocational, and other supportive resources within their community.

FUNCTIONS:

  1. Oversee the clinical and administrative operations of all Children’s BCM services in accordance with State, County, and Agency requirements.
  2. Supervise all Children’s BCM staff, including routine performance evaluations.
  3. Maintain a limited number of billable hours per week.
  4. Work to ensure policies and procedures are aligned with Interact’s mission and promote quality care and fiscally sound business practices.
  5. Review incident reports for Children’s BCM and work with Compliance Officer on any corrective steps.
  6. Work with Finance and Compliance Officer to monitor authorization/billing accuracy.
  7. Assist BCM Director with updating policies and procedures to minimize waits for services, promote integration of care across programs, improve quality, and increase our capacity to serve more individuals.
  8. Implement system for routinely monitoring program census, staff caseloads/productivity, and quality indicators including engagement, progress on goals, and service connection.
  9. Model positive self-care and support BCMs in setting appropriate boundaries within their role to prevent vicarious trauma and burnout.
  10. Support team with getting trained in Motivational Interviewing, with an emphasis on client empowerment and accountability/ reducing risk for co-dependency on BCM, with progress on treatment goals and benchmarks being reviewed regularly in supervision.
  11. Weekly monitoring of staff billing, engagement/productivity rates, and caseloads (not to exceed 30). This will include a weekly review of staff documentation to ensure timely completion of progress notes and treatment plans to prevent delays with billing.
  12. Audit charts including utilization review for all staff on a quarterly basis at a minimum.
  13. Serve as a clinical ambassador and provide targeted outreach to community stakeholders to create more awareness and to expand community partnerships.
  14. Monitor staffing needs for Children’s BCM and work proactively with HR to address any hiring, credentialing, or training needs.
  15. Evaluate and monitor BCM needs for training and professional development.
  16. Participate in community outreach, education and prevention programs as needed.
  17. Supervise the identification and referral of individuals requiring expanded behavioral health programming including D&A, BCM, Psychiatry, etc.
  18. Embrace Sanctuary Meeting and guides programming in a manner that promotes safety, equity, and trauma-informed practices.
  19. Attend internal and external meetings as requested.
  20. Work with Compliance Officer to build internal mechanisms to monitor and oversee Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), which might include flagging or reporting any compliance issues.
  21. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. BCMs must meet one of the following criteria:
    1. A Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience, preferably in Children’s behavioral health services OR
    2. A Master’s Degree with 1 year experience in Child behavioral health services.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Familiarity with Philadelphia system, including behavioral health, legal, social services.
  2. Knowledge of DSM5, evidence-based treatments, and best practice.
  3. 1 year of administrative and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  6. Must have a valid Childline, PA Criminal History and FBI Clearances prior to commencing work.
  7. Reliable means of transportation and valid driver’s license from state of residence with a minimum of one (1) year driving experience and a driving record free of at-fault accidents or moving violations for the past year.
  8. Available to help with on-call coverage on evenings and weekends.
