- Maintain vehicle/equipment condition by testing vehicles and following operating instructions.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
- Repair or replace broken components of equipment, including repairing engine failures, and repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of testing, inspection, or repairs.
- Maintain records and document services and repairs.
- Maintain supplies and call for necessary repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required
- Diesel Tech education or Associates Degree preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 45 pounds regularly
- ASE Certification preferred
- Work experience with DOT inspections, hydraulics, drive train, controls, and electrical diagnostics preferred
- Class A CDL preferred
