Junior Analyst, Procurement

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Inc (ICE) is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with excellent analytical, communication, and business acumen skills to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the procurement process and manage the lifecycle of software contracts.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Procure-to-Pay: Be responsible for all aspects of the procurement process as it relates to the software spend category
• Procurement Liaison: Assist employees across the company in understanding the procurement process and policy
• Contract Negotiation: Review and negotiate purchasing agreements with optimal pricing and commercial terms
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with end users, legal team, senior leadership, and suppliers to define requirements and strategize on contract negotiations
• Reporting: Track and report on procurement metrics to inform decision-making, including spend, savings, and contract performance
• Time Management: Manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the company and vendor relationships including invoice discrepancies

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field
• 1-3 years of indirect procurement experience
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong cost analysis and negotiation skills
• Must be able to think critically to identify and solve problems
• Must possess sound judgment and meet ethical obligations to perform purchasing duties on behalf of the company
• Ability to prepare clear and concise specifications and other documentation
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Oracle Cloud & ServiceNow a plus
• Preferred understanding of procuring software and software licensing models

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
