Overview
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Lead Engineer who will provide oversight on multiple technical initiatives using Microsoft Cloud technologies including Azure and Microsoft 365. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and communicating solutions that are very complex for a global organization. You will also be expected to keep up with the latest trends in technology and identify the best way for the company to incorporate technology change into a roadmap. You will work with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the quality and usability of the solutions. You will also act as a subject matter expert and a mentor for other team members.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions using Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Provide oversight and guidance on multiple technical initiatives and ensure adherence to the solution design by team members.
- Scope and execute ‘Proof of Concept’ initiatives for new technologies or new use cases on existing technologies.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Team Members, and Senior Leadership on both mid- and large-scale projects.
- Communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences and present in a large audience format, either via web conference technology or in person.
- Work with Enterprise UX and other teams to document processes and technologies to establish a cohesive knowledge base for users to draw from.
- Identify and document best practices and standard operating procedures for team members on the required technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert with a ready answer in any situation.
- Ability to ‘jump in’ and expertly deliver on any solution that is required.
Knowledge and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in systems design and engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online and OneDrive architecture, administration, and functionality.
- Strong knowledge of Teams architecture, features, and functionalities.
- Proficient in PowerShell, SharePoint Online Management Shell, and Microsoft Graph API.
- Strong analytical skills to solve problems that are very complex for a global organization.
- Experience with various Co-Pilot AI technologies is a bonus.
- General experience with designing large-scale multi-system integrated architectures is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new trends in technology and identify the best way for the company to incorporate technology change into a roadmap.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
