What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Finance and Business Support position at InterContinental Hotels Group?
Your day to day
- Lead budget, forecast, and month-end processes for the KG Tech program, ensuring accuracy and governance.
- Collaborate with BSC and COE teams to maintain legacy Kimpton processes for timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for legacy accounting processes and contribute to update memos as needed.
- Evaluate and develop best practices in reporting and performance monitoring with regional colleagues.
- Contribute to business strategy development with a finance perspective for the region.
- Act as Finance Project lead to align financial strategies with business needs, maximizing returns and mitigating risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and assist external auditors as needed.
What we need from you
- Prefer degree in Business/Finance or relevant field; professional accounting/finance certification preferred.
- Over 5 years in hotel accounting/audit, with at least 3 years as Hotel Director of Finance or equivalent.
- Experience with Head Office/Area/Offshore Accounting functions is preferred.
- Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, accounting processes, and regulations.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and develop effective financial plans.
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with financial software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Opera/Micros, ADP) and project management skills.
Travel - limited 10%
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary for this role is $100,000 to $190,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
