Business Development Manager
Scope of Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals in assigned territory by servicing existing accounts and developing new accounts. The Business Development Manager will travel to customer facilities, educating key stakeholders about InterCool capabilities, and build key relationships while uncovering opportunities. This individual will frequently correspond with clients to assess their needs.

Scope of Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals in assigned territory by servicing existing accounts and developing new accounts. The Business Development Manager will travel to customer facilities, educating key stakeholders about InterCool capabilities, and build key relationships while uncovering opportunities. This individual will frequently correspond with clients to assess their needs.
Essential Functions:
- Generate and qualify leads.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities by consistently conducting various prospecting / cold-call activities along with networking opportunities
- Follow-up on all sales opportunities and customer inquiries/concerns
- Conduct discovery meetings with existing and new customers to uncover opportunities.
- Survey mechanical systems to determine repair, modification, and / or replacement requirements to provide prospects with solutions.
- Gather necessary information to allow for proposal generation.
- Present and follow up on proposals in assigned territory.
- Prepare and present effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner which leads to signed contracts.
- Follow-up and successfully negotiate customer commitments.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained and that sales revenue, and contract renewal rates meet or exceed assigned targets.
- Follow Up on awarded projects to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
- Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage territory.
- Participate in local / regional / national industry meetings, shows, conferences and events as required.
- Proven track record in building relationships with general contractors, owners, plant managers, maintenance managers and engineers to generate sales leads.
- Must possess strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
- Deadline and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task daily functions.
- 2 – 5 years of Outside Sales Ammonia Refrigeration Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- BA or BS in a relevant discipline of Sales, Construction Management, or related Engineering field welcomed - but not required
